Free Swil Kanim Concert at Wildflower Funeral Concepts

First Friday with Swil Kanim and special guest Char Seawell @ Wildflower

Friday • September 4, 2026 • 7–8:30 PM Free Admission  • 5706 4th Ave, Ferndale

Char Seawell joins musician & master story teller Swil Kanim for the September 2026 installment of First Friday an evening of music, stories and inspired ideas.

The Wildflower chapel is a surprisingly perfect space for it: warm, bright, and intimate, with beautiful acoustics. You’ll hear soul-stirring music and stories from Char Williams, Swil Kanim, along with a rich mix of local storytellers. You might even hear a story or two from Wildflower owner and funeral director, Brian Flowers.

If you’ve never been to Wildflower, this is a wonderful chance to visit, and see the new side of what our space can be. First Friday's take place on the first Friday of every month, from 7-8:30 pm at Wildflower. Admission is free. About Char Seawell

Songwriter Char Seawell captures the ordinary moments in our lives that show extraordinary grace and courage. She is committed to sharing those moments in song stories so that they will inspire others to notice the small acts of love and compassion happening all around us each day. But there are difficult moments in life that she captures as well - the child in crisis being removed from a  difficult situation, the homeless mother living in her car, our common struggles with grief and loss.  The human landscape is her source of inspiration in these songs whose gentle harmonies reflect the stylings of the singer-songwriter tradition.
